Review - Champions of the Force

Title: Champions of the Force
Author: Kevin J Anderson

Champions of the Force is the final book of the Jedi Academy trilogy which began with Jedi Search and continued in Dark Apprentice. Each of our heroes has multiple challenges to deal with as they try to support the New Republic and fight off super weapons, Sith Lords, and well-armed factions still hoping for a return of the Empire.

A few of the Jedi candidates recruited to learn from Luke Skywalker must push themselves to grow into their new roles as Jedi Knights if they are to avoid destruction. Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo never seem to be able to stay together, each drawn to parts of the Star Wars galaxy far, far away, and far, far away from each other.

I had thought I must have read Jedi Search at some point, but I clearly did not read Champions of the Force. Each chapter was interesting, pushed the story forward, and other than the fact that this is the third book in a Star Wars trilogy, nothing was particularly predictable. By the end, I had enjoyed getting to know each of the new characters, while also spending time with all of my favorites.

Do you like "Star Wars?" Do you like to read? If yes, and yes, you will like these.
