It's Been a While - Akershus

I guess I have not posted for a while.  I think I'll queue up a few posts.  Most of them will be photos because I have way too many good shots from places I've been in the past two years.

Here's one.  This is Akershus, the Castle Fortress which overlooks the Oslo harbor.

On my day alone in Oslo, I just walked around the city.  I found I remembered how to walk to many of the famous sights, including this one.  I didn't  walk around the grounds of Akershus that day, but I did a couple of days later, when I served as "better than nothing" tour guide.  Say "hi" to Trevor and Dr. Frank.

Favorite Foto Friday - Norway Lake from a Train

We were visiting Norway for the first time, and taking a train from Oslo to Bergen.  I took this photo out of the moving train, on film.  Ordinary 35mm film.  The view, oh my, the view.

Favorite Foto Friday: Mael Church, Rjukan, Norway

It's Lent, so I thought I'd put up a "church-related" Favorite.

This photo was taken at almost 10:30 PM in the summer, in Rjukan, Norway.  It's still so sunny!  The sun was almost ready to leave the valley.  Norway!  What a beautiful place.
