Surrogates | 62 | Just OK. Very interesting idea. Some good twists. I felt like they could have done a bit more with it. And there were some major believability holes. |
Moon | 74 | Now this is a classic science fiction story. A man, alone, on the moon. His three year contract mining a new energy source is almost over. What could go wrong? |
Star Trek: Generations | 82 | Fine first outing for the Next Generation crew; Data is funny. [From Edition 9. Rating updated since then.] |
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King | 100 | We had a Sunday in front of us, a cold Sunday, so reclining under blankets while watching this gem was a great afternoon. [Initially reviewed in Edition 28.] |
Terminator: Salvation | 60 | OK, fine, this was not quite the same as having a robot from the future come back to change the past (the storyline in the past three) but it was a post-apocalyptic vision in the same world as those. For what it was, it was fine. Coolest thing: How did they do Saddest thing: I would have rather seen two episodes of “The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” |
Other Sister (The) | 70 | As a parent, letting your kids grow up is hard enough. If your child is mentally challenged? As a young adult, finding your independence, and love, is hard enough. If you are mentally challenged? Empathy and laughs and love. |
The Ideas, Opinions and Musings of Steven T Will. My most frequent topics are movies, games and learning. Oh, and I like to share photos. But since I try to post most weekdays when I'm not on vacation, I delve into other things too: religion, words, news items, quotes. And then, on occasion, I post snippets and wisps. Welcome, and enjoy!
