Today's photo is from our recent trip to California, as one might expect. Though most of my photos -- especially my favorites -- focus on natural beauty, today I give you a view of the most extravagant swimming pool I am ever likely to see. The blue tiles are inlaid with gold. The effect is spectacular.
In the center of the photo, you can see the diving platform, ten feet above the surface of the water. The reflections in this huge room are incredible.
To me, the two pools at Hearst Castle are the most memorable parts of the tour.
