This video found its way to me via Facebook yesterday, and I simply have to remember it.
As I said to Marion afterward:
Honestly, if you can go through your day looking comatose, or laughing, which would you rather do? And yet, which do we do?
Marion pointed me to a Wikipedia entry that explains Bodhisattva. I read it and responded:
Makes sense! When I saw it I thought to myself "He's an angel! An angel of Laughter."
Maybe not exactly the same thing, but it fits.
