Political Cartoons - Candorville this week

One of my daily comic strips, Candorville by Darrin Bell, is talking politics this week. And, though I am pretty sure Bell is in the liberal camp, I think he's doing a fine job poking fun at the "talking point" version of political discourse we have going on these days.

Here's the link to his Candorville site.

His "Yin and Yang" storyline, which started this week, starts here.

He's poked fun at both Democrats and Republicans in days 1, 2 & 3. Today he hits the Tea Party folks. As a teaser, here's panel 1 of today's installment.

The extreme elements in both parties are making it difficult to have reasoned conversations. Perhaps that's how it has always been. If so, we live in a system that is truly more remarkable than we give it credit for, because with so much name calling and fallacy-filled rhetoric, I would imagine chaos, hatred and gridlock would be the constant result. Yet, here we are, with a working government, services being delivered, military protecting our interests, laws being passed and enforced, and so on.
