In Oslo, Norway, Gustav Vigeland built a collection of sculptures in Frogner Park, and this area of the park is known as Vigeland Park (Vigelandsparken.) Though there are many wonderful sculptures, one which really attracted me was this couple. Like the rest of the figures Vigeland sculpted, the figures are realistic, not idealized. These two seem like a husband and wife, happy with each other and enjoying each other's company.
I particularly like the photo, not just because I caught the clouds and the blue sky, and not just because I have another statuary couple in the upper left, but also because those two women in the lower right give some perspective to the shot.
