I like the Internet. No big surprise there.
Every once in a while, I get some free time, I follow links, I do a few searches, I look at the Blogs of Note and, voilĂ , I find interesting new stuff to visit on a regular basis.
Then I follow them and enjoy. It's like candy without the calories.
Some of the stuff I find is even like doughnuts without the calories, which, let me tell you, is even better.[1]
And then?
Then people stop updating things. It might be a blog. It might be the Space.com Image of the Day. It might be a free game. Doesn't matter -- it just stops.
I can't blame anyone. I'm getting this stuff for free. Most of these things are not "going concerns" so why should they update merely because I want to read something new?
But when they go silent, it's like taking my candy away. I miss it. I can live without it, but it's slightly disappointing.

And that's today's topic.
Was it like a Tic-Tac? A Butterscotch? A Werther's? You decide.
I'm quite sure it's not a cream-filled Bismark.[1] Some days are just better, and some are not.

[1] Nothing, repeat nothing, is like peach pie or hot fudge sundaes without the calories. Not until the Internet provides virtual reality of flying like Superman.
