Can We Be Done Now?

This election cycle has been the most engaging ever, for me. The primary battles were interesting. The narrowing of the field was drawn out, helped by the sheer numbers of hopefuls on each side. The conventions provided opportunities to get to know the people involved from one point of view, and the extensive personality-based coverage by the television media helped show another side of each eventual candidate. It was fun. For quite a while.

But enough is enough. I'm tired. I still visit FiveThirtyEight.com every day, but with less enthusiasm each time.

Let's get this over with.
