They tell me that Decorah is being evacuated. The water level is above that which caused the dike (levee) to be built those many years ago. I fear for my parents' home - they are so near the river.
I saw a photo of the view from Phelps Park last night, and it looked like Noah might feel at home in the valley.
Though people on the East Coast are complaining about stifling heat, and I'm sure that's inconvenient, floods ruin things.
Let's all send any spare warm, dry air down to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and parts nearby.
