| 56 | I’m going to forgive the predictability because of the fun kid characters. Man, could that guitar player play! |
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian | 83 | Though not as visually stunning as the first film, the story allowed us to see the maturing of the characters. Edmund is great! The best part of a good movie. |
Finding Forrester | 86 | Jamal is such a genuine character, and Brown plays him with great subtlety. The interplay and mutual mentoring is touching and strong. A film worth many viewings. |
The Final Season | 52 | A pretty good story in the vein of “Hoosiers” but with modern issues of small-town life. It was stilted and slow in some spots, but seeing the Luther shirts on Sean Astin, having Cedar Rapids Kennedy appear, and knowing it really happened make it a “recommend.” |
| 82 | Well worth the viewing. Plenty of action. Good laughs. |
| 90 | Even ten years later, the effects are great. The story is tight, and the characters well played. Now if only anyone would ever get the computer stuff right. |
Holes | 83 | What fun! All the connections. Bad guys who are bad enough, but not too bad. Heroes who are fun. |
Save the Last Dance | 70 | Intelligent teenagers, seemed realistic. |

But since I try to post most weekdays when I'm not on vacation, I delve into other things too: religion, words, news items, quotes. And then, on occasion, I post snippets and wisps. Welcome, and enjoy!

Wow - I guess I've built up quite a backlog. And this list does not even include the micro-reviews I've posted before for movies I've recently seen again (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets among them.)
