The Internet is a "Marvel"

In the entry above, I used a comic book story from my youth to segue into a political discussion. When I wrote it, I put a link to an entry in Wikipedia.

Today, hoping I could find out which issue of Superman contained the story, I glanced through the article and, sure enough, it told me that Superman #276 (June 1974) was the issue, and "Captain Thunder" was the "Captain Marvel"-esque foe.

I even found a site with the cover for every Superman issue -- or at least many, including this one.

It's amazing what you can find on the Internet, isn't it?

Sure, I could have gone to the basement and searched through the boxes to find it. But Google and Wikipedia combined to save me the effort.

What a world!
