Liberal Arts

Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) writes, directs and stars in a
story examining the transition from college student to adulthood, the meaning
of “liberal arts” in life, and finding your place in the world. Not fancy, but I liked it. Trouble? The
main characters were quite consistent until one point in the story, when they
both went wrong. I didn’t believe it,
and I think the story could have had the same lessons, with a better
emotional satisfaction, with a better choice.

Total Recall (2012)

As a remake, a success. The story was marginally similar, but
different enough to keep us guessing. It
wasn’t as surprising as the original, but better acted. (Colin Ferrell is an actor. Arnold?
Yeah, not so much.)

Deserves a longer review.
(Later today.) Action packed, with some interesting takes on the Superman origin. But.
A big “but.”

The Ideas, Opinions and Musings of Steven T Will. My most frequent topics are movies, games and learning. Oh, and I like to share photos. But since I try to post most weekdays when I'm not on vacation, I delve into other things too: religion, words, news items, quotes. And then, on occasion, I post snippets and wisps. Welcome, and enjoy!
