Disturbia | 71 | Obvious comparisons to “Rear Window” but with some modern twists. Good suspense, little gore. Worth the watch, if you’re in the mood. |
Dune (miniseries) | 86 | At this length, the story can make sense, unlike the 80’s movie. Though almost all the actors were unknown to me, the stars were excellent, particularly Newman as Paul/Muad’Dib. Easily re-watchable. |
Stranger Than Fiction | 69 | Hey, here’s a movie with Will Ferrell that I actually liked. The comedy came from how a real person would react to an impossible situation, not from silly Ferrell characterizations. |
Game | 34 | Not a good movie. One or two interesting concepts, but poorly written and executed. |
The Mummy | 81 | FX galore; plot moved; Fraser seriously funny |
Footloose | 74 | Shows its age, but it’s still a fun coming-of-age show. Lithgow’s character is great, and he’s so good at it. |
The Ideas, Opinions and Musings of Steven T Will. My most frequent topics are movies, games and learning. Oh, and I like to share photos. But since I try to post most weekdays when I'm not on vacation, I delve into other things too: religion, words, news items, quotes. And then, on occasion, I post snippets and wisps. Welcome, and enjoy!
